Wolf Creek Dam filled Lake Cumberland in the early 1950s. This farmhouse
watched it happen.

The farmhouse was renovated top to bottom in 2026 and still keeps the
proportions it was built with in 1945. Three bedrooms, one bath, and a game room that
earns its keep when the weather turns.
One bedroom and the bathroom are on the main floor; two more bedrooms are
upstairs under the eaves. The drive comes right up to the porch, with room for the boat,
and the wifi is fast enough to work from if you have to.

When the lake is cold
February here is quiet, and that is the point. The game room, the fire pit,
a full kitchen and a house you do not have to share. Hunting season, the holidays, and
weeks where the only plan is not having one.
Our story
The house came first
It was built in 1945, on a rise above what was then a river valley. Wolf Creek
Dam closed a few years later and the water came up behind it, and by the early 1950s the
farmhouse was looking at a lake that had not existed when its foundation was poured.
Everything around here is named for the lake. This place is older than it.
We bought it in 2026 and spent the year putting it back together: dark green
board-and-batten outside, cedar posts across a new front porch, and a full renovation inside
that kept the proportions the way they were. We wanted a place worth driving to, not just a
place to sleep between boat rentals.

How do we get in?
Self check-in. The door code arrives before your arrival and stops working at checkout.
Is the house on the lake?
No. It sits up the hill on KY-92, a short drive from Safe Harbor Jamestown and Lake Cumberland State Dock. You get quiet and a real driveway instead of dock noise.
How many bathrooms?
One full bath for up to six guests. Worth knowing before you book with a big group.
Is it all on one floor?
No. One bedroom and the bathroom are on the main floor; two more bedrooms are upstairs. There are also steps up to the porch. If stairs are a problem for anyone in your party, ask us first and we will talk it through honestly.
Can we bring a dog?
Yes. We are pet friendly. Tell us about your dog when you book.
Are there cameras?
Exterior security cameras cover the driveway and the front entrance. No camera monitors any indoor area and no camera views the interior of the home. There are no cameras or recording devices of any kind inside the house.
